Tropical Traditions Giveaway & Blog Hop

I have never used coconut oil, so when I was offered the opportunity to review it, I was very curious. I immediately went onto the internet to search of ways to use the coconut oil. Wow! What a plethora of information to choose from.

So, I tried several things. Removing stickers off the furniture did not work. Fixing chapped feet seemed like it would take a long time. Although using a little bit of it on my frizzy hair seemed to work okay.

What really worked for me was cooking with it. It works very well as a replacement for other oils. It adds the slightest bit of flavor that I have trouble explaining. But, it's good. I used it in many of my regular recipes. I tried a couple of recipes off the website. My family loved the Penne Pasta Salad. It was very flavorful. I loved the Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies, but the rest of my family did not. This was not surprising to me because they have never been fans of wheat flour. So, it wasn't due to the coconut oil. I look forward to trying the Cilantro Coconut Pesto and the Coconut Chicken Curry Stir Fry.

So, if you want to try some of these recipes, you can buy it here. (If you order by clicking on any of my links and have never ordered from Tropical Traditions in the past, you will receive a free book on Virgin Coconut Oil, and I will receive a discount coupon for referring you.) Or you could win some!
